Landmark is a growing collection of prints documenting important and iconic cultural buildings from around the world. Each work captures the form, profiles and details that provide a unique identity and image, often inseparable from the institution it houses.
The Arab World Institute is located on Rue des Fossés Saint Bernard in the 5th arrondissement, Paris, France. The building was designed by Jean Novel and completed c1987. This print is inspired by the metallic screen that sits behind the glazing on the south-west facade of the building. This screen acts as a intelligent brise soleil that automatically opens and closes to control the amount of light and heat entering the building.
This is a giclee print on 308gsm matt fine art paper. This type of printing produces strong, vivid colours and a high quality finish.
